Educational background
Wu Wenbin, an agri-informatics scientist, received his BSc degree in Geography (1998) from the Central China Normal University, China, his MS degree in Environmental Engineering (2005) from the College of Graduate of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China and his PhD in Spatial information (2008) from the University of Tokyo, Japan.

Research Area
He is the deputy director of the division of agricultural remote sensing in Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning. His research is mainly focused on global/climate change impacts on agriculture, including mapping and monitoring the dynamic changes using remote sensing and GIS, understanding the major driving forces behind these changes, and spatial-explicitly modeling the interactions and feedbacks between biophysical and socio-economic processes.
