International Symposium on Agroecology for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems (ISASAF, Agroeco Symposium 2016), jointly organized by The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), and The People's Government of Yunnan Province of China, is scheduled to take place on 29th-31st August 2016 in Yunnan, China. The purpose of this event is to continue the efforts made in previous symposia by FAO and its regional partners to promote dialogue around the scientific basis and the experiences of implementing Agroecology in Asia and China.

FAO organized the International Symposium on Agroecology for Food Security and Nutrition on 18 and 19 September 2014 in Rome, Italy. (Final report available on website: www.fao.org/3/a-i4327e.pdf). Subsequently three regional symposiums were organized during 2015, in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Pacific and Latin America and the Caribbean.

To deepen this regional approach, we cordially invite participants from Academia, Government, Private Sector, Civil Society Organizations, NGOs and other Agencies, to attend this important symposium.

Register Now

We look forward to your important contribution to the success of this symposium.
