Global Alliance on Food Security Research annul meeting held in Beijing
The second meeting of the Global Alliance on Food Security Research was successfully held at CAAS in Beijing on June 7, 2013.
As a non-governmental organization, the Global Alliance on Food Security Research (GAFSR) was initiated and joined by Wageningen UR and other 5 leading agri-food universities and research institutions, including the CAAS, Embrapa, INRA, Massey University, and UC Davis. According to the information, the GAFSR’s main task is “to find ways to increase the world food production in a sustainable manner”. The first meeting was held at Wageningen University in the Netherlands in July, 2011.
