Li Jiayang meets Science editor-in-chief
On January 14th, President Li Jiayang met with Marcia McNutt, editor-in-chief of Science at CAAS headquarter in Beijing, to discuss further cooperation between the two sides in agricultural science and technology.


Li briefed the guest about the development of CAAS and China’s agriculture. The two sides exchanged views on commonly concerned issues including global food security, water resource management, land use and the role of science and technology in improving agricultural productivity.
Li appreciated the cooperative outcomes between the two sides. He proposed to strengthen the partnership and hoped the journal would continue to help CAAS enhance its innovation strength and international profile.
McNutt agreed on Li’s proposal and spoke highly of CAAS R&D progress. She added, the journal would be willing to receive more high-level research papers from CAAS.
Founded in 1880, Science is a global renowned academic journal with the largest circulation in the world. In recent years, CAAS has kept close cooperation with the journal in series of activities including co-organizing seminars on academic writing. In 2013, Science released a special supplement to introduce CAAS R&D program and development strategies.
