5 June 2008, Dr. Robert Zeigler, IRRI President and Dr. Duncan Macintosh, Director of IRRI Development Center visited CAAS. CAAS President Zhai Huqu congratulated IRRI on winning the “International Science and Technology Cooperation Award” conferred by the State Council of China. IRRI is the first international organization winning this award since it was established in 1995.
 

 

CAAS and IRRI have established long-standing partnerships. Crop germplasm resources, food safety, bio-disaster control and recyclable use of agricultural resources will be on top of future collaborative agenda.
