Mr. XUE Liang, Party Secretary of CAAS, received six guests from the Iowa State University, including Dr. Gregory Geoffroy, President of the university.

Secretary Xue introduced the key areas of research and the basic situation of international cooperation of CAAS. He pointed out that the research of CAAS and Iowa State University had a lot in common in areas like crop sciences, animal sciences and biotechnology, so the two sides could step up cooperation in personnel exchanges and joint training of postgraduate students by making full use of our internal resources. In response, President Geoffroy expressed the strong willingness to strengthen bilateral agricultural technological cooperation and proposed to broaden cooperation and diversify the means.

That day, the delegation visited the Institute of Crop Sciences, Institute of Animal Sciences, Institute of Feed Research and Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development of CAAS. Later, President Geoffroy presented a wonderful speech to postgraduates with the theme of the school-running characteristics of Iowa State University.
