Monsanto's Beachell-Borlaug International Scholars Program
April 21 2009, Dr. Edward Runge, Program Director and Chair of Monsanto's Beachell-Borlaug International Scholars Program met with Dr. Huqu Zhai at CAAS and introduced the Scholars Program to students and researchers at CAAS through a workshop.
Dr. Huqu Zhai accepted the invitation of being a member of the panel of the Scholars Program and expressed his willingness to encourage young scholars at CAAS in its application.
Monsanto's Beachell-Borlaug International Scholars Program was founded in March 25 2009. It offers a scholarship of $10 million in five years to young scholars with a doctorial degree in rice or wheat breeding.
