CAAS Planning for the China-Brazil Joint Lab
Dr. Janice Reis Ciacci Zanella and Dr. Jorge Luiz Loyola Dantas from EMBRAPA visited CAAS on November 22, 2010 to further promote the planning for the establishment of China-Brazil Joint Lab and identification of preferred areas for collaboration. Dr. Gong Xifeng, DDG of DIC, CAAS received the delegation.
CAAS and EMBRPA started to plan for the construction of the joint lab in 2009, which is an important item on the government agenda of the two countries. According to Dr. Gong, EMBRAPA has already established the joint lab with the US and several other countries. Its operational mechanism, personnel arrangement and priorities for collaborative areas could be a good example for CAAS when preparing the China-Brazil joint lab.
