June 10 2009, Ms. Luciana Mancini, the S&T Director of the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil visited CAAS and was received by Dr. Zhang Lubiao, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation. Ms. Mancini exchanged her views with Dr. Zhang about establishing the joint research lab as stated in the Joint Statement signed by the Chinese President Hu Jintao and Brazilian President Lula this May. She also hoped to build a strategic partnership with CAAS and start drafting cooperative agreements as soon as possible.
