Invited by Prof. Xu Shiwei, Director General Of Agricultural Information Institute (AII) Of CAAS, and also the principal scientist of the Innovative Team Of Agricultural Monitoring and Early-Warning, Mr Gregoire Tallard, economist of OECD and Mr. Masato Nakame, economist of FAO visited AII for training the use of Aglink-Cosimo model and exchange on agricultural monitoring and early-warning on December 1-3 of 2014. More than 30 researchers on agricultural information analytics from AII and postgraduate students participated in the workshop.

Prof. Xu highlighted that the cooperation with FAO and OECD had gained many significant achievements, especially 2013 and 2014 China Agricultural Outlook Conference, both sides has carried out cooperation in many ways, established a fixed mechanism of expert exchange, and formed a good cooperative mode.

Mr. Gregoire Tallard and Mr. Masato Nakame presented the application of Aglink-Cosimo model in terms of scenario simulation, stochastic analysis and the usage of Troll software. Prof. Xu and his team introduced the latest breakthrough of CAMES model, real-time data collection technology, early warning technology, China grain balance sheet and 2015 China Agricultural Outlook conference and so forth.

The international experts highly appreciated the rapid development of AII in recent years, especially the technology advantage and the breakthrough achievements in the field of monitoring and early-warning. Both sides exchanged the ideas to deepen the future cooperation.
