Agreement with MICIT Renewed
November 19, 2012, Mr. Alejandro Cruz, Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Costa Rica (MICIT) visited CAAS and was warmly received by Vice President, Dr. WANG Ren.
WANG shared with guests the experiences in China’s agriculture development. Both sides agreed to extend their cooperation from biotechnology, crop genetics and breeding to the areas of integrated pest management, natural resource management and climate change, etc. The renewed agreement on S&T cooperation between CAAS and MICIT was signed after the meeting. According to information, the two sides had reached their first agreement when a high-rank MICIT delegation visited Beijing in 2008.
