June 22 2009, Dr. Georges Papageorgiou, the Minister Counselor of the European Commission Delegation visited CAAS for the first time after his assumption to office. He was received by President Zhai Huqu and Dr. Zhang Lubiao, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation. China and EU is currently working on the preparation of plant breeding programs under the EU Framework Programs.
