Marc Mortureux, Director General of the French Agency for Food, Environment and Occupational Health Safety (ANSES) led a delegation of four to CAAS on November 8 and was received by Dr. Wang Ren, Vice President of CAAS. Potential areas for future cooperation between the two institutions were identified at the meeting.

Based on the research interests of CAAS and the past cooperation between CAAS and French research institutions, Dr. Wang Ren pointed out that food safety, quality testing technology of agro-products, veterinary medicine standard as well as SPS could be the potential areas for collaboration with ANSES. He hoped that the MOU between CAAS and ANSES could be signed in near future.

Marc Mortureux fully supported the idea. ANSES is very much appreciated that it could work with CAAS for the sound development of agricultural science in both countries, he said.

Madam Marie-Lise Molinier, the agricultural counselor of the French Embassy to China and Dr. Feng Dongxin, DDG of the Department of International Cooperation, CAAS attended the meeting.
