International talent joins IAPPST
Professor Meinolf G. Lindhauer, the technical director of International Association for Cereal Science and Technology (ICC), also the Vice President of Germany Federal Research Institute of Nutrition, was appointed as the international advisory expert of Institute of Agro-Products Processing Science and Technology (IAPPST) of CAAS, on August 31st, 2014, during his visit to the Institute.


Professor Lindhauer gave a consultation and guidance on the IAPPST’s innovation program, “Cereal and oil processing quality formation and regulation mechanism”. He proposed valuable suggestion on three main areas including cereals and oil food nutritional quality formation mechanism, action mechanism of chronic disease caused by nutritional imbalance and nutritional quality control.
The consultation given did not only gave the cereal and oil processing innovation team opportunity to understand the research ideas, progress and achievements of international counterparts as an important in decision making in the project implementation, but also provided the link for key problems and gave insight of the tasks to be carried during the follow-up.
