The two sides agreed that agricultural cooperation between the two countries boasted huge potential and that exchanges and cooperation in agricultural scientific research should be strengthened under the cooperation framework between the two Ministries of Agriculture. The delegation also visited the Thailand Division of Cargill to see the progress in R&D in broilers and feed.
In Kenya, the delegation visited KARI, AGRA, UNEP, ILRI and ICRAF. The key areas for cooperation with these institutions were identified as vegetables and crops breeding, livestock raising, animal disease control as well as agro-biodiversity and agro-ecosystem management, etc. Agricultural technology transfer and personnel training were also listed as priority.
