At the meeting, Wubriefed Kunduthe latest research development of the Academy. Heput forward the following proposals for further strengthening collaboration between CAAS and the Czech Crop Research Institute: (1) to extend the cooperative scope from existing crop virology to broader agricultural research areas;(2) to upgrade the level of cooperation from team-to-team cooperation to institute level or even state level; and (3) to innovate bilateral cooperative ways from short-term cooperation to long-term and sustainable strategic partnership.

Kundu agreed with Wu’s proposal on strengthening bilateral cooperation. He hoped the two sides will reach consensus on prioritized research areas and submit cooperative research proposals to respective authorizes to win long-term supports.
