On 21st November 2013, CAAS President, Dr. Li Jiayang and representatives of European Commission, Mr. Rudolf Strohmeier and Ms. Loretta Dormal-Marino signed the letter of intent on research and innovation cooperation in food, agriculture and biotechnology at the Great Hall in Beijing. The signing was witnessed by H.E. China Premier Li Keqiang, European Council President Herman Van Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, marking a new milestone between the two parties.
