INTA President Visits CAAS
On May 4, CAAS Vice President Wu Kongming met with Dr. Francisco Anglesio, the President of INTA (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria de Argentina) at CAAS headquarter in Beijing. Both agreed to keep a closer partnership for future cooperation.
Wu briefed with the progress of the ASTIP (Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Program) and the academy’s latest developments in scientific innovation. In terms of future cooperation, he proposed both sides further promote collaboration in the fields of plant germplasm exchange, molecular breeding, apiculture research and food processing technology, etc. “There is a great potential for future cooperation. CAAS is willing to keep a close partnership with INTA to improve the two countries’ agricultural research and development”, concluded by Wu.
Francisco Anglesio agreed with Wu’s proposal and expressed the willingness to keep an intensified exchange in knowledge and information between CAAS and INTA.
After the meeting, Francisco Anglesio visited the National Gene Bank and the Institute of Crop Sciences.
