Wu Kongming meets AAFC Vice Minister
On June 17th, Vice President Wu Kongming met with Dr. Andrea Lyon, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food of Canada (AAFC). The two sides exchanged views on the bilateral cooperation in agricultural science and technology.
Wu said, as the only national level agricultural research organization in China, CAAS has always attached great importance to the cooperation with Canada, and would be ready to work together with its counterparts to meet the global food security in the coming years.
Wu proposed to strengthen the bilateral ties with a view to full play complementary advantages in agricultural S&T and agro-product trading.
Lyon, for his part, applauded Wu’s proposal and hoped to facilitate in common interested areas in agricultural research and development.
