On December12, 2012, the “China-Russia Joint Laboratory on Grassland Ecosystem” (CRJLGE) was launched at the Institute of Grassland Research of CAAS in Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia. As an important platform, the joint laboratory is designed to conduct researches on the Ecosystem in Eastern Eurasian Temperate Steppe.

The joint laboratory also enables resource sharing, personnel exchange and training between China and Russia and will boost grassland protection and sustainable development of both countries.
