CAAS and ULg to launch PhD training program
The first annual meeting for the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GSCAAS) and University of Liège (ULg) on joint PhD Program was held in Beijing, 20th -23rd November 2013 at CAAS, Beijing. CAAS Vice President Wu Kongming, members of the program management committee and ULg representatives attended the meeting.
Representatives of both sides (CAAS and ULg) viewed and discussed the issues related to the program management committee, including its organization chart, functions and regulations, working mechanism, etc. And the consensus was reached on the working plan for next year (2014). After the meeting, delegates from ULg visited relevant institutes of CAAS for further discussion on the same issue.
According to the information from the Graduate School of CAAS, so far the program has managed to enroll 18 PhD students this year. And by the year of 2020, the enrollment is expected to reach 100 PhD students.
