CAAS Training Program Held for Bangladesh
From April 20 to May 1, a training program for the application of nuclear technology in agriculture was held by Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development in Agriculture (IEDA) of CAAS. CAAS experts, together with others from Ministry of Environment Protection, China Agricultural University offered related training for 14 researchers from Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA).
The training covered the application of environmental radioactive nuclides technologies to soil erosion, soil moisture, organic matter and nutrient dynamics, stable isotope technologies to tracing hydrology and biological nitrogen fixation, and nuclear technologies to food irradiation and preservation, as well as identification and prevention of health hazards from irradiation.
