WANG Ren Meets MSU Vice President
On Nov 7th, Vice President WANG Ren met with Dr. Gregory Bohach, Vice President of Mississippi State University (MSU) and his colleagues at CAAS campus. The two VPs exchanged views on the topics of agricultural development, agricultural high education, and reached the consensus to sign a memorandum of understanding of scientific and technical cooperation in the near future.
WANG briefed the guests about the progresses in bilateral cooperation in agricultural research under the framework of the Sino-US Plan of Strategic Cooperation in Agriculture, particularly some details in the fields of plant protection, animal husbandry and veterinarian, biotechnology and gene sequencing, etc.
Gregory Bohach expressed his appreciation for WANG’s comments. He said that as the pioneer land-grant university, MSU has its own advantages and privileges in agricultural research. He suggested the two institutions further strengthen collaborate in the areas of crop sciences, plant protection, natural resources management and animal husbandry and veterinary, etc.
