The 2nd China-Mexico Forum on Agricultural Science and Technology was held in Beijing from September 2 to 3, 2013. The forum was co-organized by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and National Forestry, Crops and Livestock Research Institute (INIFAP) of Mexico, attended by nearly 40 experts from CAAS as well as INIFAP. The forum reached a consensus in the fields of germplasm resources exchange, integrated pest management, water saving agricultural technologies and animal nutrition management, etc.


The Forum, initiated by the Agricultural Working Group (AWG) of China-Mexico Inter-governmental Standing Committee, is a high level platform to strengthen and promote agricultural science and technology cooperation between the two sides. The 1st forum was held in Mexico in December, 2009, and CAAS Vice President Liu Xu headed an official delegation presented the important event.
