IEDA and the University of Sydney seeks closer cooperation on post-graduate education
To strengthen the cooperation on post-graduate education between the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development in Agriculture (IEDA) and the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment (FAE) of the University of Sydney, IEDA and the Graduate school of CAAS organized a workshop on studying in Australia on April 26, 2016. Mr. Alan Shao, Finance Manager from the FAE gave an informative introduction of the University of Sydney and overview of its post-graduate education in Agriculture and Environmental Science. He also answered questions concerned by the graduate students.
IEDA and FAE established the Sino-Australian Joint Laboratory for Sustainable Agro-ecosystems (JLSA) in March of 2013, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding for Scientific and Technical Cooperation signed by CAAS and the University of Sydney. The past three years have witnessed frequent academic exchanges based on this platform, leading to fruitful joint research achievements and more opportunities for young scholars. To further invigorate the collaborative activities based on JLSA, IEDA and FAE will explore new opportunities for graduate students training with a view to sustainably promote the cooperation in agricultural science and technology between China and Australia.
