The longstanding relationship between CAAS and Australian institutions reached a new milestone in this year. It was in early this March, in the witness of Australian former Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Chinese Ambassador to Australia Yuming Chen, CAAS and University of Sydney signed the agreement for the establishment of the Sino-Australian Joint Laboratory for Sustainable Agro-Ecosystems. And shortly after that in this April, another important area was identified between CAAS and Murdock University by signing the agreement for the establishment of the Australia-China Joint Research Centre for Wheat Improvement.
