June 23 2009, President Zhai met with IRRI President Dr. Robert Zeigler and Development Director Dr. Duncan Macintosh. Dr. Zhai said he’s honored to become a member of the Board of Trustees of IRRI and would try his best to perform his duty during the term. He also congratulated IRRI on the incoming 50th anniversary ceremony. Dr. Zeigler appreciated the support from CAAS. They also shared views on the planning of the joint programs in southern nations under the support of the Chinese government.
