On November 6th, 2012, CAAS signed 41 S&T cooperative agreements with 38 China’s National Modern Agricultural Demonstration Zones on an agricultural S&T achievements promotion sponsored by the MOA. And CAAS is one of the two organizers.


As the premier agricultural research organization directly affiliated to the MOA, CAAS plays a more and more important role in providing agricultural S&T services to the local development. In the past few years, the Academy has entered S&T cooperation agreements with more than 20 Provinces, Municipality and Autonomous Regions in China and maintained close partnerships with about 10 National Modern Agricultural Demonstration Zones. Up to now, it has set up more than 1,000 demonstration sites throughout the country. According to reports, under these framework agreements, CAAS will provide consultant services and technical supports to those National Modern Agricultural Demonstration Zones in the areas of crop breeding, plant protection, animal husbandry and veterinary, and agricultural sustainable development, etc.
