IAPPST applause for flexible packaging of Chinese traditional cuisines
On Nov.16 2013, the 15th China Hi-Tech Fair was opened in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center with a number of new technological achievements. The new technology includes engineering technology for standardized production of flexible packaging of Chinese traditional cuisines which was developed by Institute of Agro-Products Processing Science and Technology (IAPPST) of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS).
Former Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress, Lu Yongxiang, Chief Economist of the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), Yang Shaopin and Vice President of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS), Wu Kongming visited the exhibition booths of IAPPST. They were impressed with the innovation achievements in agro-products processing technology and machinery developed by IAPPST, and commend the localization of technology and machinery for flexible packaging of Chinese traditional cuisines which has an important practical significance for promoting a rapid development in food industry.
There were also remarkable achievements of liquid/solid food automatic filling machines jointly developed by IAPPST and other companies, this is a great step towards packaging process such as making bags, weighing, filling, sealing, of food products. The new technology paper-plastic packaging materials necessitate the liquid, solid or liquid-solid mixed prepared foods such as Chinese staple, cuisine and soup being preserved and available in the shelves in the market. The food in this package can be stored in cold chain or at room temperature after sterilization process of the hot water spraying in two-peak-temperature variation.
To make the technology growing consultation have been done in food companies and government delegations from Beijing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Hunan and other provinces to provide more expertise for improvement, of which most of them expressed the strong desire to strengthen technical cooperation with IAPPST in near future.
