CAAS President Meets with Director Emeritus of Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology
On September 7th, Prof. Wu Kongming, President of CAAS, met with Prof. David G. Heckel, the renowned entomologist and Director Emeritus of Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology in Germany.
Prof. Wu Kongming stated that the CAAS has established a solid foundation for scientific and technological cooperation with the Max Planck Society. On the basis of existing partnership, he expressed his hope to further build a long-term cooperation mechanism for deepening research collaboration in key areas, such as agricultural genomics, plant protection and pest control, as well as enhancing talent exchange.
Prof. Heckel highly praised the achievements of CAAS in the field of agricultural science and technology in recent years. He extended his expectation for expanding cooperation with relative research institutes of CAAS, such as the Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen (AGIS).
Responsible officials from the Department of International Cooperation of CAAS and the AGIS of CAAS attended the meeting.
