The training workshop was organized by the MOFCOM and jointly hosted by the AIBO, Institute of Western Agriculture, AII of CAAS, Center for International Agricultural Research (CIAR of CAAS), the Institute of Cotton Research, and the Changji National Agricultural High-Tech Zone.

Yang Shengyan emphasized that the training workshop not only reflects the Chinese government’s commitment to fostering friendly exchanges and cooperation with other countries but also demonstrates China's proactive stance in promoting agricultural cooperation. He encouraged participants to actively engage, learn from each other, and create more opportunities for practical cooperation. The workshop, focusing on "Cotton Production Management in Central Asia," invited renowned experts from China’s cotton industry to provide lectures. Through professional teaching, discussions, and field visits, the workshop aims to introduce participants to the history and current status of the cotton industry, as well as advanced production techniques and technological achievements. The objective is to enhance cotton production management and technology in Central Asia. The 14-day training workshop, with 36 participants from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan, will include on-site visits to relevant enterprises in Changji Prefecture, Shihezi, and other areas of Xinjiang.
